Pay it forward

This is the part that makes the workshop a workshop and not a website. You learn something here, you build something, you get unstuck. Then you turn around and help the next person who hasn’t gotten there yet. No money changes hands. No one keeps score. The help just keeps moving.

Four ways to pass it on

  • Share what you made. Post the thing you built, however rough. It shows the next person it’s possible.
  • Answer a question. If you’ve solved something someone’s now stuck on, say so.
  • Offer a hand. Twenty minutes, a review, a second set of eyes. Name what you’re glad to help with.
  • Take a newcomer under your wing. Be the person you wish you’d had when you started.

What it looks like

A few examples of the kind of thing that lives here. Real ones will replace these as people post.

Made something

“Built a one-page habit tracker for my kid’s chores after the Try AI walk-through. First thing I’ve ever coded. Happy to walk anyone else through the same start.”

A member, getting going

Could use a hand

“Trying to wire a small solar setup for a shed and I’m stuck on the charge controller. Anyone done this before?”

A member, mid-project

Glad to help

“I’ve hired a lot of people. Happy to read a resume or do a 20-minute mock interview, free, for anyone in the workshop.”

A member, paying it forward

What we believe

  • It’s free, and it stays free. No tiers, no upsell.
  • We want your participation, not your attention.
  • It’s built in the open, rough edges and all.
  • Plain language beats jargon every time.
  • Kindness is the house style.
  • Tools serve the work. AI is just one of them.
  • You can leave when life pulls you away and come back anytime.
  • No one gets left behind.

The live wall where members post and reply is being built. Until it’s ready, the simple version works fine: email [email protected] with what you made, what you need, or what you’re glad to help with, and it gets shared with the workshop. Plain words are better than a polished pitch.
